I am selling off some of my collection and over the next few months and will be listing some very nice and very rare albums and singles from the 50's through to the 90's!! I will be listing The Beatles, Cream, Purple, Zeppplin, The Stones, Small Faces, Floyd, Creedence Clearwater, Beach Boys and many, many more so please add me to your watch list as I may have something you need to help complete you collection!!!!

Original Year of Release: 19th May 1983 Rarity: Very Rare simply because this Is a "SAMPLE RECORDING NOT FOR SALE For For Record Review And Demonstration Purposes Only!!!! This is Also accompanied by a Bonus Three Track E.P. that Also has The Same information Printed to Both Labels. This Set was Deleted in 1991. Because of it's Deletion there will NOT be many copies of this Album for offer and even Harder to locate would be another SAMPLE RECORDING copy.Track list:

Brief Artist & Album Info: "The Number Ones" is a compilation album of hits by The Beatles released in 1983 by EMI on the Parlophone Records label in Australia. It is a localised version of the 1982 compilation album 20 Greatest Hits.
To reflect Australia's differing tastes, EMI Australia issued its own version of 20 Greatest Hits. As The Beatles had 23 number ones in Australia, the title was aptly changed to "The Number Ones". However not all of tracks would fit into a standard vinyl LP, so three tracks ("Love Me Do", "I Feel Fine" and "Rock and Roll Music") were added as a Bonus EP that same with the original album.
The Australian album is Unique as it is the Only Album release of the original 1963 Stereo Mix of "I Want To Hold Your Hand". This was Only previously available on a 1976 Australian Reissue of the original single. This Stereo Mix of the song has NEVER been Officially released on compact disc or any other digital format.
The album was released May 1983 on both LP and cassette. It spent one week at the top of the Australian album charts in 1983.
The Number Ones stayed in print in Australia until 1991. It was DELETED (with other Australian only compilations) when EMI Australia Ceased vinyl production. It was NEVER released on compact disc.
CONDITION
Labels: The Sample Recording Parlophone Labels are Both in SUPERB condition with no signs of Spindle Wear or Spider Marks to be seen anywhere. There is no Writing, Label Lifts or Marks. This Album has Obviously been Very well looked after and has had No more than a couple of Plays. The E.P. is in Exactly the Same condition. I would easily grade these as Excellent++!!!!
Vinyl: Plays throughout absolutely Brilliant with no Pops, Clicks or Jumps. The record still contains that glossy sheen though there area Couple of very minimal surface and thumbnail marks to be seen, these in NO way interfere with the Superb sound quality. This Album plays up to and beyond its high visual grading with hardly anything of note to fault. It offers strong, distortion-free sound, all frequencies are sharp and clear – sound quality is very high with a wide dynamic range and very detailed sound. A typical polished production from George Martin. Minimal surface sound and no tracking issues. This play-grade proved a real pleasure when playing this fast disappearing Parlophone album, this being the First example I have had for some time, and possibly the Best all-round one for me yet. It will prove Incredibly difficult to find a Better copy and merits a Very strong recommendation. Both the Album and E.P. are in Outstanding condition and I would say the E.P. has Never been Played. I would grade both sides as Excellent ++!!!!
Cover/Sleeve: The cover is constructed of a White card that has the Title and The Beatles (made from several coloured photographs) to the Front and the track listings and Other information printed in Blue ink to the Back. There is a White Label attached to the top Left that states SAMPLE RECORD NOT FOR SALE FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY. All rights Exclusively Reserved By EMI (Australia) Limited. There are no signs of Spindle Wear or Spider Marks anywhere. There are no Label Lifts, Marks or Writing. All of the Edges are in Very good order including the Opening. The Spine is also pretty Good. All of the Printing throughout the Cover is in Perfect order with No signs of Fading. A Hole has been (Factory) punched into the top Right. There are a couple of light Creases on Both sides but these are not Rips, Splits or Tears. There is also a Very slight Indentation showing from where the Album was stored (by a previous owner) with the Album inside the Cover. This Cover is incredibly difficult to find in Excellent or Better condition simply because of the design and age. However I would be happy enough to grade it as Very Good++!!!!
The Sleeve that accompanies the E.P. is made of a very Flimsy semi-shine Paper and is in Outstanding condition. There is no Writing, Splits, Tears or Marks anywhere. The Only thing that even Remotely spoils it is the slight Indentation from where the E.P. (again by the previous owner) has been Stored within the Sleeve. I would be more than Happy to grade this as Excellent +!!!!
Cover/Sleeve Summary: Not seen often, these Are both in Beautiful condition with only gentle clues of age, any blemishes mostly light – a few creases are incredibly hard to avoid at the Barest minimum. This classic cover (as described) should please many collectors.
Inner Sleeve: (Album) This is the correct Clear Plastic inner sleeve that was issued with this Album and is in Excellent condition!!!! There is Also a Promotional Leaflet issued that lists All Albums Available On record Or Cassette in Australia. This is in Excellent ++/Mint - condition!!!!
Album Played For Grading: I play/grade ALL records I offer before submitting, I also play them in their entirety unless clearly stated otherwise. I do NOT play snippets or joining grooves to check for sound quality and quietness. I play from the beginning to end. I use a Linn LP12 Sondek turntable with Ittok Mk II arm and Ortofon Quintet Black moving coil cartridge and Linn Lingo, with my Linn system and Forest Totem Speakers. This system is guaranteed to pick up any distortion or interference within the sound.
Grading: In my opinion I REFUSE to believe there is ANY record that can be truly graded as Mint, the BEST that could be offered is Mint- (minus)!!!! Especially so from the 50's, 60's, 70's or even up to the present date!!!! Even copies bought new today would have some form of imperfection on the Record or Cover!!!! Under that assumption I will NEVER use the word Mint in any of my descriptions and Mint- is the HIGHEST grade I would ever offer. So I will only from Excellent, Good or Poor with a -(minus), +(plus) or ++(plus,plus)!!!!
