The Beatles The White Album MONO 1st Press UK Very Low No. 0007873  1968 PMC 7067/7068 - Apple record labels. 
Description found with the record, we guess, from when our family member who collected these originally bought this record: A UK first mono issue, top loading sleeve with a low unique serial number, featuring: 1. a low unique individual serial number of: No. 0007873, 2. as this is a first mono UK issue, the record labels feature: a. none of the record labels have the text, ‘An EMI recording’, b. as this is a very first UK mono issue labels one and three feature the original dark green Apple colours, c. all four labels show the text, ‘Sold in UK’ etc, d. the George and Ringo tracks are listed as ‘Apple Publishing’. CONDITION: THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the double album ‘gate fold’ sleeve is fully laminated. The spine is in ‘good’ condition, it has asplit, 100mm up from the bottom edge and a 15mm split from the top edge, so only part of the text on the spine is readable. The four opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean. On the front it has an embossed ‘Beatles’ logo and a unique individual serial number of: No. 0007873, this number appears clear and bold. To the rear there is no text printed, proving this to be a genuine ‘mono’ sleeve. The sleeve features visible ‘flip backs’ when the sleeve is opened, these ‘flip backs’ are all excellent and well stuck down. When the sleeve is opened it is very glossy and clean. There are NO tears, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. THE INNER SLEEVES: are the two original ‘Apple records’ black inner sleeves and have not been replaced. One sleeve is in good++ condition, it has a 15mm tear around the ‘die cut hole’ and a split to the bottom edge. There are some small tears and ‘nicks’ and some ‘fraying’ to the rear opening edge. A complete and original sleeve with no cellotape repairs. The second sleeve is also in good++ condition, it has three tears, 5, 10 and 20mm around the ‘die cut hole’ and some splitting to the two side edges and to the bottom edge. There is a 5mm tear to the middle, front opening edge and some small tears, and ‘nicks’ and some ‘fraying’ to the rear opening edge. A complete and original sleeve with no cellotape repairs. THE POSTER: the original poster is in very good condition. Theres NO pen writing, cellotape residue, cellotape repairs, pin hole damage or blue tack residue on the poster. There is some splits to the edges/folds, but its all complete, a clean and tidy original poster for its age. There are some age related marks here and there. THE PHOTOS: the original photos are in near excellent condition, they are made from the original thick card. The photos have good clean white borders and the rear of the photos have remained clean for their age. Theres NO cellotape residue, pin holes, ‘blue tack’ residue, pen writing or stains on the photos. The photo of Ringo is missing but I have included a copy picture to complete the set - this is printed on photo paper. THE RECORDS: record one, sides one and two are in near very good condition. Record two, sides three and four are also in near very good condition. The two records are made of the original 1960s, ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. The matrix are: XEX 709 - 1, XEX 710 - 1, XEX 711 - 1 and XEX 712 – 1. The mother/stampers are: ‘2 9 GAR’, ‘3 GGD’, ‘3 PO’ and ‘2 LR’. THE AUDIO: on all four sides is very good+. Each side plays with some light crackle and some ‘ticks’ heard here and there. Each record lays flat on the turntable. The audio plays with a loud, full period mono sound. THE LABELS: side one is in near excellent condition. Side two is in excellent condition, side three is in very good++ condition and side four is in excellent condition. As this is a very first issue labels one and three feature the original dark green Apple colours. --END OF DESCRIPTION--
Play tested: Side 1: Plays all way through ok, no skips no jumps. Crackly. Maybe benefit from a clean? Side 2: Crackly again, one skip towards the end of "Martha My dear". Side 3: No skips no jumps and again crackly, some pops.  Side 4: Same as side 3.
