Description

Original 1st Issue of Twist And Shout EP from the summer of 1963 on UK Parlophone. Matrix 1N/2N. Please note this Ep does NOT hold the 'Sold in The U.K...' statement on the labels. This is indicative of 1st issue. Any copies with this statement clearly are not from 1963 and are mid-sixties reissues. The labels also mention 'recording first published 1963' and 'Parlophone' around the perimeter. They are also stamped with the tax code - 'KT'. The record comes housed in an original cover printed by Garrod with original rounded corners.
Vinyl (Ex+/Ex) Has clearly been looked after down the years and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can barely make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Interference is minimal - we detected a couple of light static crackles on Side 2 and that was it! A beautifully preserved little player which will be difficult to better.
Cover (Ex+) Remains in terrific condition - these Ep covers often turn up a bit dog eared, but not here! Lovey shiny front cover with practically no creases. The rear has not faded at all and only shows the very lightest of handling marks. Spine is perfectly intact and there's no edge wear to speak of. The cover maintains perfect rigidity. A beautiful specimen indeed.
