There is 1 Original Beatles Vee Jay 45 RPM record and 1 Original Vee Jay generic paper sleeve in this auction:

It is a 7-INCH RECORD that was issued by VEE JAY (VJ) RECORDS.

It is Vee Jay 581.

This label variation is BLACK WITH PERIMETER COLOR BAND and OVAL VEE JAY LOGOS.

VJ 581 with the VJ OVAL LOGO LABELS, issued in January, 1964, is ONE OF THE EARLIEST PRESSINGS/LABEL VARIATIONS of this single.

The VINYL is in VG CONDITION with a number of very light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs. (NONE OF THEM ARE “FEEL-ABLE” AT ALL.) The VINYL HAS LOTS OF GLOSS! The labels look quite nice with very light wear. The “From Me to You” label has the name “TUCKER” written small and lightly in black ballpoint in the yellow area of the color-band.

Vee Jay produced a picture sleeve with some copies of this record, but the PICTURE SLEEVE IS NOT INCLUDED in this auction.

INSTEAD, a black and red VEE JAY GENERIC PAPER SLEEVE, with “VEE JAY” in white running six times around the center hole, is included. This Vee Jay generic sleeve was used in 1963 with oval-logo pressings of VJ-498, VJ-522 and some of the early pressings of 1964. It is a Vee Jay East Coast sleeve with the curved-top edge.

This sleeve is in NICE VG to VG+ CONDITION with very light overall wear. It is quite flat with NO splits, NO tears and NO writing.
IT’S A VERY NICE VG COPY OF THIS EARLY VEE JAY 581 PRESSING (with BLACK LABELS, PERIMETER COLOR-BAND and OVAL VJ LOGOS) TO ADD TO YOUR BEATLES’ VINYL COLLECTION!!
