This is an incredible find for any Beatles fan! This original first pressing LP of the White Album from 1968 comes complete with a poster and all picture inserts in near mint condition. The vinyl itself is graded as excellent (EX) and the sleeve is very good plus (VG+). This LP is a must-have for any collector of rock, pop, or rock 'n' roll music. It features the iconic songs of The Beatles and comes in a cardboard sleeve. The record label is Apple Records and it was manufactured in the United Kingdom. Don't miss out on this stunning piece of music history!

I do not do this as a business. All my records from my personal private collection of Vinyl LPs from the 30’s through the 80’s with multiple Gen and have been stored in a cedar chest since 1985 and none of the LP’s are warped. Just looking for a good home as I was Anal about taking care of my records back then.

Each album in my collection:

·     Played well prior to storing with no skipping or repeating;

·     Is in the original cover with the original sleeve graded in “Inlay Condition” with “Case Type,” and “Feature.” Note: Paper sleeves and/or manufacturers advertising sleeve are listed a “Generic” and are rated at Very Good + (VG+) as each record comes with a new sleeve – See Shipping &Packaging below; and

·     Some are in the original shrink wrap and will be noted in “Features and Case Type;

·     Some have Hype stickers and will be noted in “Features and Case Type;

·     Some have Record Store and other sales stickers noted in “Features and Case Type;

·     Some are Gatefold noted in “Case Type:

·     Some have inserts (Scrap Book, Poster(s), Lyric Book(s)) in very good condition as noted in “Case Type” and “Features;” and

Again, this is my private collection and I have Zero experience in grading vinyl records forsakes. However, I used “Discogs” to the best of my ability for the Record Grading (Type of physical condition physical condition the record is in, characterized by the usage or condition type); and the majority will be listed as:

Just looking for a good home since I was Anal about my records back then. They all played without skipping or repeating back then. Therefore, I used the following “Discogs” for the “Record Grading” (Type of physical condition physical condition the record is in, characterized by the usage or condition type); and the majority will be listed as:

“Very Good Plus (VG+)

·     The item will show some signs that it was played and handled by a previous owner who took good care of it;

·     Any defects are of a cosmetic nature and do not affect the actual playback; and

In theory, a Very Good Plus (VG+) item should sound the same as a Near Mint (NM) one. Surfaces may show some signs of wear, such as slight scuffs or very light scratches, and slight warps that do not affect the sound are okay. Paper products like sleeves will have some wear, slightly turned-up corners, or a small seam-split. In general, it plays perfectly, and if not for some minor aesthetic wear, it would be Near Mint.”

For all other grading besides “Record Grading” such as:

·      Inlay Condition: Type of conditional the inner sleeve, books, posters, scrap book is in, Characterized by usage or condition type; and

·      Sleeve Grading: Type of physical condition the LP/Album Cover, Back and Gatefold (if applicable) characterized by usage or condition type;

The following “Discog” grading system was be used with the   combined Fair (F) and Poor (P) grades; whereas I broken that into individual grades of Fair (F) and Worn (W) – see below. 

“Mint (M): Perfect in every way. Certainly, never been played, possibly even still sealed.  

 Near Mint (NM or M-): A nearly perfect record. A NM or M- record has more than likely never been played, and the vinyl will play perfectly, with no imperfections during playback. Many dealers will not give a grade higher than this implying (perhaps correctly) that no record is ever truly perfect. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. A 45RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as any sign of slight handling. An LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes, or other noticeable similar defects. The same should be true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, etc.  

Very Good Plus (VG+): Generally worth 50%of the Near Mint value. A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Defects should be more of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback as a whole. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK". The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. Spindle marks may be present. Picture sleeves and inner sleeves will have some slight wear, slightly turned-up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear, and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation, or cut corner. In general, if not for a couple of minor things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint.  

Very Good (VG): Generally worth 25%of Near Mint value. Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time. Goldmine price guides with more than one price will list Very Good as the lowest price.  

Good (G), Good Plus (G+): Generally, worth10-15% of the Near Mint value. A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and "ticks" will almost certainly accompany the playback.  

Sleeve will be well worn, marked, and contain obvious indentations, fading, and/or writing, more so than a VG grade - possibly a more significant tear/rip. Tape will have heavy wear on shell. Felt stopper may be missing. Tape may have minor creasing, but not broken. Must play through, may have heavier degradation that will overpower music.

Fair (F): The cover will have moderate creasing, seam or corner wear or small amount of writing, and moderate fading; LP ring wear is obvious on the cover and cover probably has seam splits. It plays though without skipping, but may have noise or fuzz sound because of age, quality, or worn-down grooves. The album is not warped but could have repeating issues with a scratch. There is moderate fading and/or heavy writing or stickers on the label. The sound quality is fair. Expect possible noise issues or skipping.

 Worn (W): The cover is approaching death and will have significant creasing, seam or corner tear and significant fading. If a picture sleeve is with it, this is torn or marked up to a significant degree. But someone may want to have it for nostalgia or even attempt to fix it. May or may not still play without a skip or repeating but could be repaired. They could have substantial fading, heavy writing, or stickers on the label. Finally, attempting to listen will be a disturbing experience. Expect major noise, skipping, or issues with repeating.

Note: Each album is the original cover with or without the original shrink-wrap, hype stickers, record store stickers, gatefolds, posters, and will be cleaned with a the latest “Spin Clean Kit” (since 1975); visually inspected, and placed in a “Hudson Hi-Fi Anti-Static Vinyl Record Inner Sleeve for ultimate Protection from scratches, dust, and dirt; and is shipped bubble wrapped in and box with Fragile Stickers, and e-bay Media

Poor (P), Fair (F)

Generally worth 0-5% of the Near Mint price. The record is cracked, badly warped, and will not play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves carefully split, crinkled, and written upon.” 

 Shipping and Packaging

·     All vinyl LPs will be cleaned with a the latest “Spin Clean Kit” (since1975);

·     All cleaned vinyl LPs will be and placed in a new “Hudson Hi-Faint-Static Vinyl Record Inner Sleeve for ultimate LP Protection from scratches, dust, and dirt; and

All vinyl records will be bubble wrapped, placed in an LP box, and mailed with an e-bay USPS Media Mailing Label within 3-days after purchase.

02/16/2024 Listing Correction - The listing should have read: "Original 1968 U.S. Scranton PA △ first pressing of The Beatles 'White Album'. Wish I had a copy before they corrected all 7 Label errors! It is an early pressing though,  as it has the following etchings followed 1/3 around with an etched line to the Scranton PA Triangle inverted on each side: Side One: SWBO- 101 A71 with #2 hand etched in italics Side Two: SWBO- 101 A70  with #5 hand etched in italics Side Three: SWBO- 101 A75  with #2 hand etched in italics Side Four: SWBO- 101 A68 with #3 hand etched in italics No clue what all this means?? BTW: The pictures I took weren't very good and were taken before the LPs were cleaned and polished, as well as the sleeve and gatefold cleaned. Now cleaned and polished, the LPs and Labels are Excellent (EX)
