Description
A rare opportunity to own artist Rutherford Chang's 'We Buy White Albums' Limited to 800 copies. I am also including 2 promotional card advertisements (one is the size of a vinyl record sleeve, the other is the size of a CD approx) advertising the exhibit of the collection of White Albums.
As well as the vinyls, the record also includes a poster depicting all the white album covers that were used to create the sleeve design.
The records themselves were created by layering 100 unique copies of The Beatles' White Album, this 96 minute double-LP captures how every copy of the iconic album has been distinctly shaped by its history, both visually and sonically. The 45 year-old albums, with scratches and physical imperfections accumulated with age, all play slightly differently, causing the 100 layers to gradually drift out of sync over the course of each side.
The images show an opened album but the one you will receive will include the poster and be shrink wrapped.
