Description
I play all my records from beginning to end prior to auction on my Garrard 401 record player using a Shure V15 cartridge.
Here I have a copy of the ' The Beatles ' 1968 release ' The Beatles ' commonly known as 'The White Album'
The record is a first issue UK stereo pressing on the green Apple labels.
Cat no PCS 7096
Very difficult to read but I've tried to state the stampers below.
The matrix Side A: YEX - 709-1 stamps: 40G (or A0G ) Side B: YEX - 710-1 2OR Side C: YEX - 711-1 1AA Side D: YEX - 712-1 GA
Grading :
I've played all 4 sides of the record. Visually the record is glossy and under light there is some light marks on each side. All 4 sides play brilliantly with some occassionally clicks but no skips, jumps, distortion and just very light cackle between tracks. The sound quality is absolutely fabulous on these early Stereo pressings. Grade VG+.
The laminated gatefold internal flipback cover is in VG+ condition, with clear spine and the usual signs of ringwear, few marks to the rear and an aged cream appearance. No rips or tears or laminate lift which is so common with this cover. The added bonus being that this is a low numbered edition with the stamp No. 0074498. Please see photo's.
Also comes with the lyric poster which is in fair condition having come apart at the top. The original black inner sleeves are also there and in fair condition but with splits etc. Does not include the 4 photo's which never returned to the lp after being displayed on the wall.
If your the winning bidder could you please wait for invoice since the final price may mean I need to charge added postage. If your bidding from outside the UK I will only post via Track and signed methods.
