The Beatles – White Album - Original 1968 UK stereo pressing with original top opening numbered sleeve and dark green Apple labels with ‘Sold in UK…’ label text.
Original UK white albums in this condition are now becoming increasingly rare as they find their way into permanent collections throughout the world. On sale here is a superb early example in above excellent condition.
An early copy, pressed and manufactured ahead of the 22nd November 1968 release date.

CONDITION
Disc
Visual:
Disc 1:Side 1 MINT- Side 2 Exc+/ MINT-
Disc one appears mint in strong daylight. Under a strong halogen desk light nothing much more is revealed other than the lightest of sleeve removal marks.
Disc 2:Side 3 EXCELLENT+ Side 4 EXCELLENT-
Disc two is also in superb condition but has some light superficial marks visible in daylight, however none are feelable or effect play. Both heavy duty discs lie 100% flat on the turntable.
Audio: EXCELLENT to MINT-
There is some surface noise audible at high volume with the occasional light tick however both discs play through in glorious analogue sound without any major audible faults. Neither record jumps or sticks.
Labels: EXC+/MINT-
A clean and fresh set of labels with only moderate signs of light spindle trails. None of the labels have any writing to them.
Cover
EXCELLENT
An original 1968 1st issue top opening numbered sleeve in an excellent state of preservation. Of all Beatles albums the white album is one of the toughest covers to find in above VG condition. This cover has been stored in a smoke free environment and shows hardly any signs of discoloration and only minimal signs of wear. The sleeve retains its original high gloss laminate throughout. The interior gatefold is in pristine condition. Apart from some very light thumbnail creasing on the back panel the only major flaw to the cover which prevents a higher grading is a bend to the top right hand corner which has caused a laminate crease. The laminate over the word ‘The Beatles’ is pristine and still intact. Many dealers on ebay would grade this cover at nr MINT.
Inner-sleeves: Very Good+
Original 1968 black inners with no seam splits.

A superb set of original and genuine 1968 deep contrast photos on the thicker card. There are no pin holes or writing to any of the photos. The back of the photos are unmarked and virtually as new.

Original 1968 1st issue ‘lipstick’ poster.
