For reference this copy is a match with this listing on Discogs: -   /release/456663-The-Beatles-The-Beatles
which states: Initial numbered edition with top opening G & L laminated gatefold sleeve, black inners, poster & 4 color prints, dark green Apple labels with Ⓟ & "Sold In The UK...." text. This was released in error omitting the text 'E.M.I. Recording' on the label, so a second version The Beatles was promptly released with the corrected labels.
ABOUT THIS COPY: Matrix / Runout (Runout side A): XEX 709-1  - 3/TAL Matrix / Runout (Runout side B): XEX 710-1 - 2/RM Matrix / Runout (Runout side C): XEX 711-1  - 1/RO Matrix / Runout (Runout side D): XEX 712-1 - 3/RD
The gatefold sleeve is in very solid condition; the front of sleeve is a lovely original creamy colour with stand out title and low number. The back and gatefold centre of the sleeve have unfortunately been victim to a spillage , which has left some staining (please see photos) - spine is OK, laminate lifted and a bit grubby , but readable
Has the original black inners which are in very good order generally, some fraying on edges and centre
Poster present , has some pinholes and stains but is in very good condition overall
4 portraits are very nice, a few creases
All 4 labels show some light signs of use around centre - no initials or marks though
The vinyl shows various signs of past use; it has been well played, but reasonably well looked after too  - there is nothing outstanding; surface marks and some scuffs  - I have tried to show some in photos; especially one more obvious set of marks at the start of S2 (see photo). Overall it is just expected general wear n tear from an LP of this age; sleeve removal and playing...etc.
It generally played as follows on a test:
Side one - plays well and sounds good , a little background  in places and a few light clicks in build up to MY GUITAR - still a very good listen.

Side two - a little crackle right at the start where it is scuffed/marked. No clicks or jumps though as they are not deep. After this the rest plays great - a super listen...

Side three  - there is some crackle between tracks more noticeable than LP1; it plays very well overall. Fair bit of crackle on Long/Long/Long , as ever -the loud n proud bits sound great (listen to clip of Helter Skelter)

Side four - crackly start. not overpowering; mostly a very good listen , some crackle in the quietest tracks and Rev 9.
Most importantly none of the noise is overbearing and there are no skips or sticks - amazing for its age overall...
PLEASE VIEW ALL THE PHOTOS AND THE CLIP OF HS, SOUNDING GREAT; 7-DAY AUCTION , REASONABLE START PRICE, OR , GIVEN THE LOW SOUGHT AFTER NUMBER, A TEMPTING? BUY IT NOW...
