The Beatles The White Album, 1968 mono Vinyl 0011704 no emi, Complete 1st issue
See ref - https://www.discogs.com/release/456663-The-Beatles-The-Beatles
Initial numbered edition with top opening G & L gatefold sleeve, black inners, poster & 4 colour prints, dark green Apple labels with Ⓟ & "Sold In The UK...." text.
This was released in error omitting the text 'E.M.I. Recording' on the label, so a second version The Beatles was promptly released with the corrected labels.
This Copy
Top loader , 1st issue matrices , original black inners; lyric poster; 4 Beatles glossy portraits and spacer - all as above DC ref.
Low number 0011704 !
Condition:
Some wear and tear , rubbing and handling marks on outer gatefold sleeve, light stains ; spine is rubbed of laminate but still readable (just); inside the gatefold is relatively clean , nice, no major rips, some light staining - there is a bit of wear on top corner/edges and around the top opening …
Black inners have minor folds/creasing and small edge tears from usage (LPs housed in replacements for protection) - still very nice and useable though
Poster is excellent, a few creases only
Portraits are excellent, glossy, never been used/hung etc. and include spacer (often discarded) , which has a few creases - please view photos
Labels and vinyl on all 4 sides show their history a bit. Lots of light marks and scuffs , some light staining - would improve with a proper pro clean I think. Nothing deep or dramatic , no feelable scratches, so not bad.
Overall it plays really well - a nice listen particularly in the loud n proud bits. There are no jumps no sticks no loud noise, pops or static , just some crackle and a few light pops here and there as you’d expect
Side one starts quite crackly then plays much clearer as it progresses
Side two only has light crackle here and there and is a very good listen I believe
Side three is similar to 2. Occasional crackle and a nice listen
Side four is a bit more like one , as the crackle is a bit more pronounced at the outset but gets better, end track is quite crackly
So, overall not mint but a perfectly listenable copy , which shows its age and is complete with a good low number
More vinyl listed , please take a look; happy to combine orders for UK buyers; GSP for overseas
