The Beatles – The Beatles (“White Album”) | 1969 Yugoslavia First Press | Top Loader | Complete UK YEX -1 Matrices | Numbered Sleeve
Offered here is an exceptionally scarce 1969 Yugoslavian first pressing of The Beatles (White Album), manufactured by Jugoton under license from Parlophone. This highly collectible edition was pressed using the original UK EMI YEX -1 stamped master matrices (709-1 / 710-1 / 711-1 / 712-1), preserving the same all-analog mastering found on the earliest UK stereo pressings.
This copy also features its original numbered top-loading sleeve (No. 0546166), adding another desirable characteristic for collectors. While the numbering on Yugoslavian pressings does not indicate rarity by sequence, original numbered sleeves are an important feature of these early editions and are preferred over later unnumbered issues.
Why This Parlophone Label Pressing Is Special
While nearly all original 1968–1969 editions of The Beatles (White Album) were issued on the familiar green Apple Records label, this licensed Yugoslavian first pressing was released on the iconic black-and-yellow Parlophone label.
The combination of:
* Original black-and-yellow Parlophone labels
* Early 1969 Jugoton manufacture
* Original numbered top-loading sleeve
* Complete UK YEX -1 stamped matrices on all four sides
makes this one of the most desirable international White Album pressings. These rarely appear for sale, particularly in complete form with the original poster and inner sleeves.
For collectors of Beatles pressings from around the world, this is a fascinating example that combines authentic UK mastering with one of the rarest label variations produced during the album’s original era.
