Description
Original Japanese 1st pressing of The Beatles “The Beatles” double LP (or “White Album”).
This is the first Japanese pressing on black vinyl (earlier 1st pressings from the same run were pressed on red vinyl).
It comes complete with the Obi strip, original black paper inners, 6 sheet poster, 4 glossy photos and Japanese track listing insert. It’s numbered too and is number #A 116931
The vinyl is in great condition and sounds superb. Visually EX+ with a couple of tiny sleeve removal marks under strong light only. Other than a little low level crackle on the run ins only. Play grade is EX+
The sleeve is VG+ due to small foxing marks. Very common on these first Japanese pressings.
Original black inners are EX with no major issues.
The poster and photos are VG+ to EX. The poster has light foxing and a single pin hole in each corner. No rips or tears or major wear and pretty clean. The photos are EX with a couple of ligh marks as shown in the photos.
Comes with the small track listing sheet in both Japanese and English. Also comes with the original Obi strip which is EX.
Finally a lyric sheet is also included in this. This is from the Japanese 8 Track Cassette of the White Album (catalogue number EAYU-7002) and was found tucked inside the gatefold sleeve with the other pieces.
Overall this is a great sounding and complete original 1969 Japanese first pressing of this iconic album.
