PLEASE READ CAREFULLY FROM START TO FINISH BEFORE MAKING AN OFFER/PURCHASING....
A mono 1st pressing of the White Album on the UK Apple label. Matrix -1/-1/-1/-1. Stampers 3LP-7AT-2RH-1A. 1st pressings must include the 'Sold In The U.K...' statement on the label and very early copies, like this one, omit the EMI text directly above the speed. These heavy duty original pressings come housed in an original top-loading sleeve. The spine of the cover states the mono & stereo catalogue numbers. Also included are the four original photos, the original poster, and the paper spacer. Inners are black but are not the originals.
Cover (Ex) Remains in terrific condition and I can tell you finding a nice 'properly white' white album is not that easy a task. This copy cannot have seen much daylight otherwise it would be not be looking anywhere near this good. All surfaces are nice and shiny and there's very little marking or creasing at all. There is only very light edge wear and the spine is 100% intact - pretty much perfect. Overall the cover has retained a good level of rigidity.
Vinyl (S1/S2/S3/S4) [Vg+/Vg/Ex-/Ex-] Has been well cared for down the years and has only seen moderate use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks on each side - but nothing troublesome. Please note disc 1 does have a minor warp - amplitude measured at 1mm [maximum]. Disc 2 is perfectly flat. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback for the most part - with deviations. Disc 2 is a solid Ex- from start to finish with quiet intros and inbetweens. Playback is excellent all the way through and these early copies really do deliver the audio goods - fantastic reproduction. Interference on this disc is minimal - we are talking some light static crackle in a couple of passages. Disc 1 has probably seen a bit more use and this is noticeable on side 2. Do expect a bit of light back ground static crackle. It is never invasive, though, and is still a more than enjoyable rendition. Side 1 is closer to Disc 2 - but there are a couple of tracks with a bit of static crackle creeping in. Even still you only need to listen to 'Whilst My Guitar Gently Weeps' to realise just how darn good these copies are. Truly a classic album and don't short change yourself by listening to anything else other than the original MONO.
Photos (NM) These original copies were really very high quality. And this copy is most definitely the original. Very bold vivid colours on quality paper. Thankfully you couldn't ask for better preserved copies.
Spacer (Ex+) No markings, rips or ageing.
Poster (Ex) Some very light wear, but no markings. Importantly there are no rips or tears.
