Description
Original 1968 (2nd) UK pressing of the self titled “The Beatles” or “White” album.
Top loading sleeve, stereo pressing with numbered gatefold sleeve (number 0454713). KT tax code on side 1. EMI text on labels.
Matrix numbers/mothers/stampers:
Side 1: YEX 709-2 / 2 / GGT
Side 2: YEX 710-2 / 3 / GMT
Side 3: YEX 711-1 / 1 / G
Side 4: YEX 712-1 / 5 / GGT
The vinyl has lots of light non feelable hairlines and scuffs when viewed under strong light and visually grades as VG overall. However it has been fully play tested and plays much closer to EX on sides 1, and 4. Side 2 is VG+ to EX- play grade and side 3 between VG and VG+. A few light occasional crackles only in spaces between tracks/quiet sections. Mostly nice clear audio. Side 3 plays around the VG to VG+ with a few light crackles and soft clicks heard on the quieter 2 tracks only. Certainly nothing too distracting or overpowering. Overall play grade is VG+ with mostly nice clear audio. No skips, jumps loud pops or clicks.
The original sleeve is VG+ overall with a few light laminate crinkles and light storage/handling wear only. No major issues at all and in nice presentable condition.
The original black inner sleeves are well handled and a bit tatty, but without major issue. VG. I’ll include a couple of new black poly lined inners.

Overall this plays well and whilst not perfect is still very enjoyable and has no major issues. VG+
