Description
This is a used LP, but only in the fact that I played it once & then filed it in my collection. This is the nicest jacket I have seen, with very little ring wear & dirt. There were no plastic record sleeves when this album came out, but when they were, sometime in the late 70's, I put a bag on this one. It's now in one of those real nice Japanese re-sealable bags with a flap. According to the Warman's Beatle Record Guide, this is a second pressing-it has just the album catalog number on the bottom of the left hand jacket on the inside of the gatefold (photo #5) & the correct song title on the side 1 label "The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill" (photo &7), & this one is a Stereo copy. Records are mint & in white paper sleeves. It also is numbered, but this one has the "A" prefix before the number-these are only on the 1st & 2nd pressings-all other numbered ones have no letter prefix, just a number, & the title is embossed on the cover. Unfortunately, the department store I bought this in stapled their price tags to the albums, so there are 2 little staple holes on the top corners of the front & back (photo #4). Since this album has a glued on wrap-around cover, some of the light staining is from the glue starting to get old & turn yellow, but the cover is still shiny & all the corners are sharp with no crunches or dings, & the title "The Beatles" is just a little off center on the spine. Of course, this album comes with the giant fold-out collage poster & lyrics & the 4 individual Beatle photos (photo #9), in primo condition. Compare this to all other copies being sold & i think you will agree, this is the nicest of all the originals out there for sale. For the true Beatles collector!
