Description
The Beatles - The Beatles
This is a fantastic copy of The Beatles eponymous 1968 studio album, known commonly as 'The White Album', comes with the extremely sought after 1st pressing Apple Record label without 'An EMI Recording' text on all four sides.
The record is housed within the holy grail of sleeves for most Beatles collectors; a 1st edition top opening sleeve with a low 7 digit serial number: No. 0071593.
This album is complete with all original inner: two die-cut black inner sleeves, 4 photo card images of the Beatles, and the large foldout poster with song lyrics on the flip-side.
Sleeve: The sleeve is in VG/VG+ condition with some wear at the top openings and the usual (this was very common in the 60's) owners writing on the inside of the gatefold sleeve. See the photos.
Inner sleeves: The original black inner sleeves are present although these have numerous tears, creases and pieces of tape. These have been well used and not very well looked after!
Record: Both records have been play tested with no skips or jumps on my turntable. There are some pops and static, most notably during Wild Honey Pie on side A. Both records have visible surface marks under strong electric light and one or two more prominent marks. I would rate them both as VG but on the whole they play better than that in my opinion.
Poster:The poster, much like the inner bags, has had a hard life! It is taped in many places (whether to prevent damage or repair is unclear). Best description is the photos. Photos: The four photos, contrastingly, are in EX condition and look to have been hardly used.

Mint The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Record Collector EX: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Record Collector VG: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Record Collector G: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
