Description
An original 1978 factory sample pressing of The White Album on the UK Apple label. Matrix 1/3/1/2. Label design is consistent with a 1978 Apple pressing. The vinyl comes housed in an original embossed cover with 'manufacturers property' sticker on the rear. Also included are all four promotional photos, the lyric sheet poster, and both original inner sleeves. Both inner sleeves are date coded to Q1 1978 and this helps date and authenticate the pressing. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+/NM) In absolutely pristine condition and have clearly seen only the lightest of use. Just look at those label shots - this baby is super low-mileage. Under close inspection we struggled to make out more than a couple of ultra-light marks and certainly nothing even vaguely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are absolutely silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is totally absent. All we detected was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments across the whole of four sides. It really is that good - you will never find a better preserved record period! Playback is really as clean as anything you could possibly hope for. Absolute top-level example.
Cover (Ex+) Wow - a beautifully white 'white album'! Needless to say anything from the late 60's or 70's by now will be quite aged. This example has obviously been archived for a large part of this time and remains in nigh on perfect condition. All surfaces are totally unaged and practically with out creasing. There are a couple of very very light indentations, but practically nothing visible. The interior is immaculate condition too. Edge wear is very light and the text is 100% intact - which is quite unusual. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and doesn't feel far off a brand new copy. Most certainly a one-off..
Lyric Poster (Ex+) Perfect condition. Clearly has been archived and has seen almost no use at all. No ageing, no splits, no markings at all.
Inners (Ex) Minor ageing. No marks or splits.
Photos (Ex+) No issues. Pretty much perfect.
