Description

Original stereo 1st issue from November 1968. No. 395677. Genuine top-loading 7 digit cover - complete with all the bits and bobs!! The vinyl is heavy pressed genuine 1st issue - 'sold in the uk statement along the top of the labels. POSTER is present. Both original black inners PRESENT. FOUR original high quality photos PRESENT. WOW - this is pretty epic. And it plays very well - I rarely get a fully clean and consistent player. Sweeet!
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light careful use. MOST original copies never look this nice. PLEASE both discs are not perfectly flat. They have edge wobble measured at a maximum of 1mm amplitude [visible from only one side]. I am pleased to report this is minor enough to have zero affect on audio. These are a couple of the quietest and cleanest playing '68 discs I've witnessed. Dreamy. But please be sure you can accept the edge wobble. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A cracking copy by any measure - the delivery is lovely and clean. 90% of original copies are not at this level. This allows you to sit back and marvel. Hardly any sign of background. It is pitch perfect and clean signalled. Lovely and clean even into the super fussy sections. E.g. Blackbird - unbelievable. At worst a few crackles in one spot per side.  Now - I'd argue that is quite unusual. Don't settle for a 50/50 copy - which not back a clean player?. I'd love to say many original copies can deliver this...but that just isn't the case. Look at the labels. How many copies look like this in 2024? Hear the white album the way it was intended - from a clean playing 1st press. Sweet. A through and through great audio copy.
Cover (Vg) In super condition - in terms of rigidity and wear...really really nice. The one noticeable issue that drags the grading down is that they have AGED. These are no longer white - they are aged and creamy [not white!]. Someone has been very careful it though. All surfaces are clean - they are just aged. Minimal edge wear and the spine 95% intact. VERY few originals look like this now...
Inner (Vg+) No spits.
Photos (Ex) Perfect.
Post (Ex/Ex-) Superb- very rarely do you see it this well preserved.
