This ticks all the boxes as a complete and genuine first issue/press: Matches with the details on this Discogs listing: /release/456663-The-Beatles-The-Beatles
which states: Initial numbered edition with top opening G & L laminated gatefold sleeve, black inners, poster & 4 color prints, dark green Apple labels with Ⓟ & "Sold In The UK...." text. This was released in error omitting the text 'E.M.I. Recording' on the label, so a second version The Beatles was promptly released with the corrected labels. _________________________________________________

CONDITION OF ALL ELEMENTS:
Gatefold sleeve - excellent all round. Has a little wear on corners and spine from storage and handling, minor creasing in places. Inside is clean and only a few smudges aroud edges. Very little wear and a lovely 'OFF-WHITE' colour as it should be - very, very, nice
Original black inners - in very good order; a bit of wear on opening edges , no rips on centre holes, generally intact and even useable - although new protective anti-static inners are included
Poster with lyrics - excellent, a few creases, never hung - no writing or stains. Super!
4 'Fab Four' portraits - near mint, no marks or crease - excellent order all round.
The 2 vinyl LPs:
LP1 - Looks very good, any marks are really superficial ; no deep scratches or scuffs! Labels are clean. - Side one = plays great. Only occasional light crackle in the background , no pops /skips sticks - fantastic listen - Side two = has a little more crackle than S1, MMD.So tired etc, but not overpowering - Piggies and the rest sound great!
LP2 - generally a few more surface marks than LP1, still nothing deep or noticeable - in very good order for its age. Labels show only light signs of past use - Side three = all the loud bits sound super; some crackle between tracks and the quieter sections; still a highly enjoyable listen - Side four = slightly less crackle than S3. Any background noise is just that, very much in the background and an excellent listen overall
So a fantastic, complete, original sought after UK MONO original, all elements excellent and plays great!
PLEASE VIEW ALL THE PHOTOS AND THE CLIP OF SAVOY TRUFFLE, WHICH SHOW A GOOD IDEA OF WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE AND HOW IT PLAYS;, ...looking at what others with similar numbers and condition have actually sold for recently, I believe, this is a competitive BUY IT NOW price, 850 NET!; I am willing to consider offers...if they are reasonable...there is no lower limit....at the moment - Please message me with any questions etc.
