Description

The Beatles  "White Album"

This is a US vinyl pressing on Apple 101 from 1968.   It's a double album, with original poster and four photos of The Beatles.    "The Beatles" is embossed on the front cover and it is numbered : No. 2507091 ( in "No." the 'o' is elevated ).    The cover is thick and glossy.     Inside the gatefold at bottom left is only the record number "SWBO 101" and no copyright notice.     The labels have the Capitol logo in the rim print on sides two and four.     The labels have the correct song titles on 'The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill, Revolution 1, and Revolution 9.    The tracks are banded on the records.      The labels do not say 'Record 1' or 'Record 2'.   The poster has a 'C' in a circle and 'Apple Records'.    The four photos are on thick paper and have 'Printed In USA" in a circle at bottom left.

I beleive this is APP 101 SCT2 in Bruce spizer's book.     That is the second run of original covers, with original poster and photos.  

The matrix numbers are LARGE and hand etched : side one : SWBO-X0-101  J 55 # 1,   side two : SWBO-X2-101 - J 49 #3, side three : SWBO-X3-101  J 46 #3, and side four : SWBO-X4-101 - J 49 #3.

The songs are : Back In The U.S.S.R., Dear Prudence, Glass Onion, Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da, Wild Honey Pie, The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Happiness Is A Warm Gun, Martha My Dear, I'm So Tired, Blackbird, Piggies, Rocky Raccoon, Don't Pass Me By, Why Don't We Do It In The Road ?, I Will, Julia, Birthday, Yer Blues, Mother Nature's Son, Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey, Sexy Sadie, Helter Skelter, Long Long Long, Revolution 1, Honey Pie, Savoy Truffle, Cry Baby Cry, Revolution 9, and Good Night.

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG+ /  Records are M- & M-

The cover is near VG+ with no writing and no seam splits.      There is light overall cover wear and a hint of ring wear on the back.     There are 3 tiny scratches on the bottom left corner.    The vinyls look near Mint and they play near Mint.      There are no scuffs, or scratches, and there is no noise between songs.      There is very slight handling marks, but nothing that makes a sound.       The labels are clean with no spindle marks.  The records come in a plain white inner sleeve.      The poster is near mint with no tape or pin holes.     The photos are near mint with no tape or pin holes.

About Me :

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 2 pounds 2 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 34 ounces ( 2 pounds, 2 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.    You will get an automatic email with the customs/tracking number.      ( Buyers from Brazil must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
