Description
The Beatles White album UK Mono top loader. Sleeve The Garrad and lofthouse sleeve is in VG + nick, there are no rips or tears, the top openings are still quite sharp, the number (0254529) is completely clear and the embossed 'The Beatles' is still laminated without lift. There are two small scrapes to the white of the front cover which has lifted a little laminate, but not that noticeable. The inside and flipbacks are excellent as is the rear, the spine has a little laminate split.
Record 1 Lovely heavy vinyl unmarked dark apple labels with "sold in the UK' and "Mfd in UK" PMC 7067. xex 709-1 stamper 5 HL and xex 710-1 stamper 5 HH. The vinyl still has a nice sheen to it and just has light sleeve removal slight scuff marks under strong light.
Record 2 As per record one except this has 'an EMI recording' added to the label and KT embossed in side 4. xex 711-1 stamper 5 GDG and 712-1 stamper 1 G. The vinyl also looks excellent with a few very light marks.
I have listened through the whole record and can happily say there is no warping, no skips or jumps and the Mono sound is very clear and pleasing. There is a very light background crackle audible in the quieter moments, but not all the time and it is sometimes very quiet between tracks. Sound quality is very good, there is a touch of distortion at certain frequencies on certain tracks, which may well be pacified by a careful clean ( I haven't cleaned it) All in all a good listening experience.
There are just two original black bags with this copy one is excellent, one very good (slight rip)
