Embossed lettering (The Beatles) on the cover.
First pressings open from the top on gate-fold jacket sleeve.
This Version: - 'Sold in the UK. subject to resale price conditions, see price list' on the label. - The copies are numbered on the front individually to each copy and imprinted 'No 0000000'. - (Stereo) imprinted on rear jacket sleeve. - With added “An E.M.I. Recording” text to the left of ALL labels, above the “33 1/3″ text.
ABOUT THIS COPY:
Complete with lyrics poster, 4 portraits, 2 black original inners; double LP and gatefold sleeve
The gatefold sleeve is in great condition overall, a few marks here and there, handling wear, very clean inside GF and a nice spine - just a little lift on it. - see photos
The 2 black inners show wear and tear , lots of creases and a few small rips - replacemant inners are included to protect them
Lyric poster is excellent, a small bit of foxing on lyric side, no rips
4 portrait photos are near mint condition, no marks or folds
The vinyl looks great; there are a few small scuffs and some hairline marks but very light and nothing deep that has any major impact. It does not skip, plays excellent overall The labels on sides 1 and 3 do have a faint name on them.
This was my appraisal of how it played :
S1 - a few light pops in the middle, everything else sounded clear and great S2 - a few ticks during Blackbird, and some crackle in a few places - very good listen all round S3 - It crackles at the start, then the rest plays excellent! S4 - Track one is a little crackly , then it is excellent again
So overall a brilliant listen that defies its age - a few flaws but an excellent copy all round
