The Beatles - 'White Album'

Both records have been cleaned and play checked. Side three has a label that omits 'An EMI Recording' from the left hand side (the very first press of this album had labels that all omitted the EMI statement). Apart from side two - the playing surfaces have no obvious marks scratches. Side two has a long scuff (see pic) which is the only reason this doesn't grade excellent ...but that is all it is - just a surface scuff and it has no impact on sound at all apart from one momentary scuff noise in the early part of Blackbird. Playback is excellent ... really good ....even the dead wax and track intervals are surprisingly clear of surface noise. The only other thing to mention is there were three tics in Revolution 9. The labels are great, they only have three or four spindle trails on each side, and the clean spindle holes suggest a limited amount of play.
Sleeve: Very Good + (Borderline Excellent)
The sleeve is in great condition with virtually no edge wear except for the top-loading edges. There is a little laminate cracking along the spine and some of it may have flaked away (you can feel it if you run your finger down the spine), but it's still nice and doesn't look scruffy. Age discoloration isn't too bad at all, it looks creamy, but not dreadfully so, and there is only the slightest ring impression - no heavy mark or ring wear. The original die-cut black inners have no seam splits but have a previous owners name and address stickers on the corners. The four portrait pics are in nice condition with just a little corner bending on the bottom right of the set. The double sided poster has nothing but handling marks, no creasing or fold splits.
