Original 1st issue 1968 UK Apple label stereo double vinyl LP with matrix numbers YEX 709-1, YEX 710-1, YEX 711-1 and YEX 712-1 plus 'Sold In UK' label text. Comes complete with 4 glossy colour photos and fold-out lyric poster. This copy is stamped 'No. 0466715'.

GRADING:

Cover - Good Plus

Generally quite a nice example of the top opening sleeve. The only major defect is a 2" split on the rear sleeve downwards from the top opening.

Poster and portraits are present.

The poster has some pin holes, a small tear at the top and general age wear.

The portraits are in nice shape with just a little yellowing around the white edges.

Black inner sleeves both have tears around the die cut opeing side and opening.

Some discolouration of the white sleeve.

Some light flaking of the laminate on the spine.

General age wear and a few laminate creases.

Record - Good Plus

Labels are clean and free from writing etc.

There is scuffing and marks on the vinyl and has obviously been well played.

Both records actually play quite nicely with a little occasional background noise. They certainly play better than they look.

Matrix numbers are YEX 709-1, YEX 710-1, YEX 711-1 and YEX 712-1.

'Sold In UK' label text present.

Summary

A well played copy with the faults listed in the desription. A more than adequate collection filler that includes original inners, poster and portraits and is quite a playable copy. Please bear in mind condition before purchasing. I've tried to highlight as much as possible on the photographs.

Our grading is based on the system used by Record Collector magazine as described below (We don't sell records with a grading of less than very good).

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Record will be sent in a cardboard cruciform record mailer with additional cardboard stiffeners for extra protection. The record is also placed in a protective polythene sleeve. The record/inner will be removed from the main sleeve to guard against any seam/spine damage during postage.
