THE BEATLES - 'WHITE ALBUM'
This UK 1st STEREO pressing from November 1968 on Apple PCS 7067/8 was originally owned by Beatles' film director Richard Lester.

It was included in his record collection purchased by us. A copy of the invoice detailing provenance will be supplied with the album.

Housed in a fully laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed, top-loading stereo cover.

All are perfectly clean & unblemished bearing some light spindle trails around each cente hole, slightly more on disc 1 than on 2.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Both discs have been well-looked after retain all of their deep-gloss factory shine. The only visual blemishes are of the type consistent with storage and removal from the unforgiving black inners, along with a couple of light turntable scuffs, but nothing I would call a scratch. Both lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing and have a sparkling rainbow shine beneath halogen light.

Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +/NEAR MINT

Played with care on top-quality equipment only (Lester is a classical music fan at heart), both discs sound clean & unworn with just a trace of the usual low-level vinyl background in the quieter passages of disc 1. Disc 2 plays quieter and consequently is NEAR MINT audibly. There are no clicks, pops, jumps or indeed any other audible distraction of any kind on either disc and it would be a challenge to upgrade this set sonically.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

A clean, heavy and strong example which has been carefully and correctly stored and retains an excellent and even 'whiteness'. The only significant blemish is a 6cm scratch on the front panel, otherwise this would have graded higher. Aside from the scratch, the outer panels are clean & glossy with just a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle to the front. The laminate is fully intact over the raised wording and the number is unworn.

Inside, both panels clean & glossy with just a single 'thumbnail wrinkle to the left panel.

The spine is square & uncrushed along its entire length with just 3/4 small laminate splits along its length.

Both sets of wording are covered & clearly readable.

Poster: EXCELLENT

Unhung with some minor foxing only.

Both are clean & flat with gentle storage wrinkling but no damage or wear to the central windows, edges or seam.
