PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION IN FULL BEFORE PLACING AN OFFER...
The White Album a 1st pressing from 1968 on the UK Apple label. Matrix 1/1/1/1. Please note that all four LP labels hold the 'Sold In the UK..' statement. In addition two of the labels do NOT mention 'EMI' - these are said to be some of the first ever copies produced. The heavy set vinyl comes house in an original top-loading cover. Also included are two generic black inner sleeves - but there are no photos or lyric sheet.
Vinyl (Vg+/Vg/Vg+/Vg) Still in great shape, but has clearly seen a moderate level of use. All four sides are showing a few marks - none are feelable, so by and large we are talking surface marking. If you are someone who is put off by seeing a fair bit of marking on vinyl then I would pass on this one. Side 2, for instance, is noticeably marked - so do consider this seriously before reading on...A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VG>>VG+ level of playback. The audio comes across with very good clarity and only occasional interference. Clearly a couple of sides have seen more use than the other two and on these, particularly, do expect a bit of light interference. At no point is it what I would term invasive. The audio is always bold rich and detailed - and thoroughly engaging. On much of the LP, particularly the two lesser used sides, it really does deliver an impressive rendition. As I've mentioned above do take into consideration the condition and the relative rarity/collectability of this particular LP.
Cover (Ex) In superb shape and remains lovely and white unlike so many other original examples. Not many creases are evident and overall it retains excellent rigidity. Edge wear is light and the spine is entirely intact. A really rather impressive example.
