The 9th and only double studio album by The Beatles. Commonly known as The White Album, it was released in 1968 and is recognised for its fragmentary style and diverse range of genres, including folk, blues, ska, music hall, proto-metal and avant-garde. It has since been viewed as one of the greatest albums of all time.

This UK 2nd Pressing 30-track Mono double vinyl LP comes presented in a Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd fully laminated, ‘The Beatles’ embossed lettering, top opening, internal flip-back gatefold sleeve (No.0294608). The sleeve spine has both Stereo and Mono catalogue numbers (please see image). Being a mono sleeve, there is no print on the back cover.

Records are housed in the original jet black ‘die-cut’ inner sleeves. It also comes complete with fold-out double sided lyric/picture poster and 4 glossy coloured photo portrait inserts including the very rare blank portrait spacer sheet.

The Apple labels have 'Sold in the UK…’ text and 'An EMI Recording' to all label sides.

Records in GC- still have great luster with visible hairlines, surface/handling marks and some light scratches on all 4 sides (please see close up images), majority of these marks are cosmetic although a certain level of surface noise may be audible at times particularly at quieter moments, couple of clicks going from Track A4 into A5, two skips on Track B1 around 1 second and 15 seconds in, skip on Track B3 around 1 second in, two skips on Track C2 between 25-30 seconds in, no deep scratches, labels are clean with some spindle marks and wear around the centre hole indicating play.

Sleeve in VGC- artwork is clean with signs of general storage-wear to corners, still remains ivory white with a little age yellowing around edges, minor impressions to front and back cover due to outer edge of vinyl resting inside, laminate creasing kept to a minimum, spine shows a few areas of laminate lift and wear but remains sturdy, uncrushed and all text clear and legible, front cover has small 1cm tear by top-opener, inner flip-back seams are intact and complete, interior gatefold in excellent condition.

Inlays in EX condition- unsplit at the seams and openings, a couple of small tears to die-cut but have aged extremely well.

Poster in EX condition- remains unused and complete with some tearing across the folds as a result of being folded and unfolded, minor creasing to corners and a few areas of discolouration.

4x photos in NM condition- near as new and in fantastic condition along with the spacer sheet, colours still rich and vivid and have been unused.

Having playtested this solid 1968 pressing, it confirmed that the vinyl holds its own and plays to a better standard than its grading may suggest. Although not mint or a lower number, this is a great opportunity to purchase a very collectible and complete rare mono one owner copy of this classic album without breaking the bank!
