Description
Your chance to own a good all round copy of the classic Beatles White Album (1968) in its full glory! It's complete, with 2 discs, black inners, stills and poster. All parts are original.
The album is relatively low numbered at 134,105. It's also a mono, so more rare.
It is in good all round condition. This is from my own collection and a reluctant sale for me.
I'll give as honest a breakdown here as I can, so you know what you're getting:
The cover is good for its age ... fairly sturdy and strong with a clear, bold number. It does have some age related wear and creasing to the top openings and a few scuffs to the corners and spine. Not perfect but certainly respectable for its age (50+ years old ... !).
Disc 1 has lovely clean labels, only a bit of spindle wear. Same very good appearance for disc 2. Side 1 does have a slight label tear (a few millimetres only to the apple) below the PMC (pictured) but it's only noticeable very close up. The vinyl, visually, is pretty shiny and black but does have a number of hairlines and scuffs to both sides, but nothing major. Side 1 does has a long hairline. Good overall.
Disc 2 again has nice labels, just a little spindle wear to side 3. Again the vinyl does have age related hairlines and scuffs, but cleaner visually than disc 1. Good overall.
Playback Sides 3 / 4 played absolutely fine. Side 1 had a few light skips on the tracks Back In The USSR, Bungalow Bill, Happiness Is A Warm Gun. Side 2 played fine.
The four stills are good. Minor creasing to some corners but no tears or blu-tac residue or anything. The poster is good too, just the expected slight creasing and some very small age-related tears to a few of the folded seams.
The black inners are good. A little age related wear and tear but no huge issues - mainly just a small split to one side of one inner.
Overall, I'd say this is a good, solid example of a legendary album. It's been played over the years but has been looked after. It's also a relatively low issue and, crucially, mono too. It's not 'perfect,' but for its age it is good. I've had it stored in my collection for about a decade and only listened to twice (including for this description!).
