Description
The Beatles White Album
Mono Original
1st Pressing top loading Mono copy with low number 0024234, dating from its release in November 1968. A well played copy which still has good powerful mono sound. Most tracks have slightly different mixes to the more common stereo version. No photographs or poster. Item graded according to the Record Collector's grading system.
Record Nos: PMC 7067/PMC 7068
Sleeve: Intact and clean, still retains its shiny gloss, however unfortunately it has a light tan water stain around the outer edges which is visible on both the outer gatefold covers, and to a lesser extent inner cover. Good
Inner Sleeves: The original, matt black inners, still intact, however one particularly badly worn and torn at the top. Good/very good
Record Labels: Both labels are in excellent condition, with no writing or other damage. Side 1/2 does not have the text 'An EMI Recording', though side 3/4 does.
Vinyl Visual: Side 1 and 2. Still has a good sheen, however has several scuffs and light marks, especially on side 2. Good.
Side 3 and 4. Record sides both have a good sheen. One scuff on side 3. A few other faint hairline marks. Very Good+
Vinyl Sound: All sides play well with generally some light intermittent crackle between some tracks and quieter pieces.
Side 1. Has a few light clicks in Dear Prudence, otherwise plays very well indeed. Very Good +
Side 2. Has a few light clicks in I'm so Tired and Julia. Otherwise plays very well. Very Good
Side 3. Some light crackles on Mother Natures Son, otherwise Very Good.
Side 4. Some light crackles on Revolution 9, otherwise Very Good.
Overall, though well used, this is still an enjoyable and playable copy of this sought after Mono version of this 40 year old album.
