Description
The Beatles White Album – Ultra low issue number 0003956. This is the top-loading gatefold album, first pressing. The cover is mostly very clean, although rather yellowed and not so white by now. The back of the album outer cover has a few slight (scratch) marks, but there is no writing nor unsightly stains. The outer front cover has no such marks and is in generally excellent condition, and similarly so on the insides of the cover. The laminate on the cover is very sound and has virtually no wear whatsoever on the edges and corners (really good condition)..... All original inserts are in mint condition (there is even the acid-free sheet of paper which is meant to protect the 4 photographs). There is the large poster/lyrics sheet which, again, is in absolutely mint condition......The vinyl is not in mint condition however, with stylus marks and a noticeable 'bruise' mark; these and all major marks are shown in the accompanying photos...... Happily though, and despite these marks, the sound and playback quality has no skips nor jumps whatsoever, and playback is very satisfactory. On the 'Blackbird' track there is a click which lasts for only about 5 revolutions. Apart from that there are only occasional clicks and light surface noise from time to time throughout the 4 sides of the album - these are infrequent and rarely obtrusive...... The label on Side 3 is embossed KT (shown in photo)...... Matrix numbers and stampers (in brackets) are: XEX 709-1 (7 and GGD); XEX 710-1 (7 and LD); XEX 711-1 (2 and P); XEX 712-1 (1 and T). If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.
