Description
The Beatles MONO UK Album "THE BEATLES" aka The White Album, released November 1968.
Absolutely essential to any Beatles collection as the Mono mix was different from the Stereo mix, and was deleted after only a year, leaving the Stereo version or mix to be the standard from then on till now.
The odd thing was, The Beatles saw the MONO mix to be the superior cut, though their thoughts on the mono deletion were never recorded unfortunately.
PMC 7067/8 Double Album with some killer songs
This is a very early first press with the Matrix numbers XEX -1 -1 -1 -1
The mother stampers used were also very very early: 1 MG / 2 RD 1 GD / 2PM Tax Code ( KT ) on side 4
It also has all the little printer marks / Stamps in the run off groove which you very occasionally find on absolute first pressings (on side 1)
The Glorious White Album cover is a Top Loader with the serial No. 0224439 complete with original Black Inners ,Photos and Poster all in Ex Condition
This is also collectable for the fact there are no "An EMI Recording" printed on the labels 1&2 (above the 33 1/3) which has been documented as very small press run right at the beginning in November.
Condition is Lovely and would consider an all round Ex- Condition. Ex/Ex Ex-/Ex- as can be seen in the photo's.
The labels are nr mint on side 1&2, and 3&4 have some feignt spindle marks but are still very presentable and nice to oggle at.
I have just played though all sides with no problems and was, as always a pleasure to listen to.
