Selling-up my extensive record collection. Lots of interesting LPs in the collection - do have a look at my other items, and there are new listings every week. Here is a complete copy of The Beatles "White Album".

Cover - this has the 4 photos, in excellent condition, and the poster / lyrics sheet in very good condition. Cover itself is appropriate for a stereo album, says stereo on back in little letters. The serial number on front looks a little odd, see picture - last two numbers may have been gone-over in pen. A pair of the appropriate black inners, showing wear at the openings, one is partly split at the bottom. The actual cover is laminated inside and out, gatefold, top-loader. Cover is perhaps not the best feature of this set, shows discoloration, ring-wear (just taking the shine off the lamination), a bend to bottom left and top right corners, some cracks in from the edges, and wear at the opening, corners, and particularly on the spine, where the lamination has split. A close look at the close-up pictures shows the kind of little problems I'm talking about. Nice inside the gatefold.  

Records - When I got this copy of the White Album, I took it in to my local second-hand record shop, to have it professionally cleaned, and asked them to grade it. They graded one record Ex and the other VG+. I have had a good look at it, to identify any noticeable damages - Side one looks fine. On side two, I noticed two long light scratches along the grooves. On side three, there's a light scratch along the grooves about 1/2" in. I also saw a light scratch about an inch long, and a very light surface scuff extending across most of the side. On side four, there is an impact in the lead-out / dead wax area, which might just touch into the last couple of grooves of the playing surface. So, pretty darn good, then. Nice red-apple labels. I have had several copies of this through my hands, and this is the best one, which I kept. I've been listening to this while writing the listing - it's excellent, I heard a few isolated crackles at the start of "Revolution 1", start of side 4.

I have been collecting records for 50 years (when finances allowed!), and now it's time to sell-up. I bought them mostly around local shops (second-hand), but sometimes from e-bay, and sometimes new, for my favourite bands.

When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.

I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Charges to the customer for delivery are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the charge, don't bid.

Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.

They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.

This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.

E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme.

International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.

If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid.
