Description
The Beatles White Album 12 inch vinyl gatefold records
Please note - I know absolutely nothing about vinyl apart from it's black, round and shiny so please be gentle with me! I've tried to include as many photos as possible - if you need more please ask - and I shall just describe what I see and hopefully that will be enough for people to judge this
This is no. 0016333 of the Beatles White Album and includes poster and photo cards of each band member
Record has been recently played and the vast majority of it played fine with no noticeable jumps or skips although there was a background crackle noise during Mother Nature's Song but no one is sure if that was a fault on the vinyl or meant to be part of the song
Outer card case:
* Gatefold style with top opening
* Yellowed with age and has a large water stain in the middle which is on the front and inside
* Cover could be described as 'reasonable'. It's discoloured, corners are a bit bashed but there's no actual damage to it. Nothing is ripped, torn or has been repaired in any way, it's just seen much better days!
* Corners are a bit battered and spine is quite creased
* Both front and back have a light outline of the records inside
* Inside is a little grubby along the edges and also discoloured
* Front has the name The Beatles and no. 0016333
* Light grey writing on the spine reads The Beatles Stereo PCS7067 - 8 Mono PMC 3087 - 8
Records:
* Not too bad but not perfect. There are light surface scuffs and one or two hairline scratches on both sides but my record player wasn't affected by them. Records are clean but could do with a professional clean just to remove fingerprints, fluff, etc
* Records are in one black sleeve and one white one. Not sure which colour is the original one
* Black labels with the Apple logo
* Matrix around the centre of the first record reads YEX - 710 - 1
* Matrix around the centre of the second record reads YEX - 712 - 2 (it was impossible to get a photo of this with my camera)
* 33 1/3 R.P.M
The four individual band photos are 11 x 8 inches. All have got dark yellow remnants of cellotape where they were stuck on my Mum's wall and there are small traces of blu tack on the back of them. However, they are not torn, defaced or folded
The poster included is double sided and features photos of the band on one side and the lyrics on the other. This is 34 x 22 inches and like the photos has remnants of cellotape and the corners have been slightly torn. Again, it's not been defaced and the folds are the original ones
* Postage is by Royal Mail First Class Recorded and tracking ID will be emailed to the buyer
* All worn clothes are laundered before sale and everything is from a smoke free home. I have got two cats though and while I make every effort to ensure items are clean before being packed, occasionally the odd stray hair may be visible
* Non payment cases open automatically four days after the auction has ended
