Description

The Beatles WHITE ALBUM on WHITE VINYL. 1C 172-04 173/4

 

German release LIMITED Edition embossed number 026142 on front (apparently 100,000 copies were printed in white vinyl in this pressing, from 1978)

 

There are 2 original stickers on the front showing its limited edition status. The cover as a whole is a bit grubby on the front as it’s unlaminated with visible ringwear. Inside is much cleaner but the previous owner decided to write his name at the top of the right hand gatefold!

The records are generally in excellent condition. They look to have been hardly played and when I did a soundcheck there was hardly any background noise during or between tracks. I noticed a few clicks on ‘I’m so tired’ and ‘Blackbird’ on side 2 and in the light there is a visible scratch on these tracks. Unfortunately the aforementioned named writer struck again twice on the white Apple labels and rather ruined the nice, clean labels on sides 2 and 4.

There are no photos or poster with this copy.

 

Overall a nice but imperfect copy of the White Album in white vinyl
