Description
For sale is a stunning and very rare first U.K. stereo issue of The Beatles second album With The Beatles.
In 1963 Mono still outsold stereo by about 10 to 1, so stereo copies much rarer.
The first issue copies had some credit misprints to the cover and side 2 label.
Most rare first issue copies have the ‘Gotta’ misprint for track 3 side 2 on both the label and the sleeve.
Rarer first issue copies also have the ‘Jobete’ credit for the track ‘Money’ on side 2 label.
Most rare of all, as in this copy, are the side 2 labels which also have the ‘Domion’ misprint instead of ‘Dominion’ for track 3.
The original sleeve is in at least Excellent condition with no real issues at all.
Original use Emitex inner sleeve in excellent condition.
Record labels both sides are unmarked.
Record sits perfectly flat on turntable. 155g weight.
Early 3RT/2RD stampers. YEX 110-2 and 111-2 matrices l
Visually side one is EX+ with only a couple of wispy marks visible under bright light. Sonically is verging on NM. Plays without clicks sticks skips or jumps but also without any noticeable crackles.
Side two visually EX, has what looks like a smudge on track 6 but otherwise unmarked. Sonically as good as side . All round stunning sound.
Also includes very rare original Parlophone listing sheet in excellent condition.
