FIRST ‘-1’ MATRICES, on both sides, **WITH** Sold in UK label text, and Mfd in U.K.on both record labels.
This album was issued as the Soundtrack album for The Beatles Cartoon Film ‘Yellow Submarine’although does not include some of the tracks that were featured in the film. Yellow Submarine spent just two weeks at the No 3 position. At the same time The Beatles White Album was still at No 1.
Album Description and Condition:
This album dates back to 1969 and was released on the 17th January 1969, and is on the traditional Green & White Half Apple Record Labels with the ‘Apple Records’ label rim, with ‘Mfd in UK’ and WITH ‘Sold in UK….’ label text to both record labels.
Both record labels are in SUPERBExcellent to Excellent Plus condition. A fine set of undamaged record labels, very clear print, showing only faint centre spindle lines to both labels.
Both sides of the Glossy Heavyweight Vinyl Disc are in Excellent to Excellent Plus condition, high gloss Vinyl Surfaces, with just a couple of surface hairlines to both sides, there are no deep scratches or scuffs.
The album plays superbly throughout the tracks - A clear mono sound, the sound quality of this album is great, there is very little mild background crackle in between some of the tracks.
Side 1 matrix: YEX 715-1 and Side 2 YEX 716-1.
Side 1 stampers: 1 T and Side 2: 1 T.
The LP comes in it’s ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut inner bag which is in CLEAN Excellent condition, there are NO seam splits or tears, just a little mild creasing.
The Vinyl LP is housed in it’s original and glossy, front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve, with two Horizontal **RED LINES** either side of the sleeve notes.
The sleeve is a respectable example in Excellent condition. The front panel still retains its gloss shine, with mild record impression, there are mild bumps to all four corners.
The reverse panel of the sleeve is clean, showing only very minor age toning to the opening edge and a crease to the bottom flip back, the spine edge and other edges are perfect, and the wording to the spine edge is clearly printed and reads ‘The Beatles Yellow Submarine’.
A very respectable example of this very collectible Beatles Apple first Issue 1969 Mono vinyl LP.
