Description

An original 2nd press of YS on the UK Apple label. Matrix 1/3. This second pressing comes hot on the heals of those original Jan '69 copies. Note how the speed showing on the side 1 label is still small format - this implies it doesn't come long after those original '69 copies. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo 1st issue cover - note the red-line on the rear.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a few light marks per side - nothing noticeable or heavy.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveal a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. Side 1 plays great no issues with very nice clean audio. And, remember, YS is an incredibly fussy title. Thankfully, this copy does a great job of delving out some decent clean audio. Side 1 - is absolutely super, no signs of background at all really. Side 2 - I'm getting a touch of low-level background in the first two tracks. Nothing upfront or noticeable..it's all quite minor and innocuous. The one deviation is midway through side 2 in a quiet reflective moment - it exhibits three or four clicks caused by a small mark. Then there's a few very light ticks in the following section. Overall a super rendition and, remember, a matter of months after those super collectable 1st pressings.
Cover (Vg) Not too bad at all, but showing light tanning on the front, and a bit more ageing on the rear. There are three or four creases on the front. Flibacks have a few stress creases on the rear and a bit of wear down in the bottom right corner too. The text on the spine is mostly intact, but there are a few stress creases. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
