Description
I am selling many SEALED BEATLES and BEATLES-RELATED LPs from my collection. So, please check my other auctions and my upcoming auctions over the next month.
IN THIS AUCTION:
· “YESTERDAY AND TODAY” by the Beatles
· This LP is Capitol (or Apple) Records ST 2553. The cover has Capitol on the spine.
· This is a STEREO RECORD.
· This LP is MINT & STILL SEALED in its original SHRINK WRAP.
· The Shrink Wrap has “breathe holes”.
· The LP has a “designated promo” punch hole at top right.
· Information provided is based on Perry Cox’s Price Guide for the Beatles American Records section about sealed LP’s.
· According to Cox, the LP appears to have been issued 1964 - 1971 from Capitol Records’ Los Angeles or Winchester pressing plants based on the number “6” on the rear cover at lower right.
· According to Cox, THE LABEL STYLES MOST COMMONLY FOUND IN COVERS DESIGNATED WITH THE “6” ARE: ORIGINAL, OR SUBIDIARY, GREEN OR APPLE LABELS.
· However, I won this LP in a Perry Cox auction perhaps 8 years ago and it was identified to have an APPLE WITH CAPITOL LOGO LABEL. (I still have the yellow post-it that came with the LP.) The shrink wrap is split about 5 inches in the middle of the opening with 2 pieces of clear tape at the top and bottom of the cut to avoid further splitting. I understand that this was done to spread the opening a bit and with a small light shine inside to see the label. However, as the LP is STILL SEALED, I cannot guarantee what label is inside, as I have not seen it myself. I trusted what I received from Mr. Cox.
· There are 3 small corner pushes and slight wear on the bottom right corner.
· A nice Beatles-related LP to add to your vinyl collection.
FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY grade the LPs and 45s I auction, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding. And please check my other auctions for other LPs you may want to add to your collection. Be high bidder on several and combine shipping! NOTE: Still Sealed LPs that are opened by the buyer are NOT eligible for return and NOT eligible for a refund. Winning bidder must remit payment within 7 days of auction close by PayPal. Add $4.00 for shipping to an address in the lower 48 U.S. states via media mail with delivery confirmation. (Postage is more to Alaska and US islands.)
