Description
Hello! This is an auction for a copy of "Yesterday"... And Today by The Beatles on Capitol, catalogue number T 2553. This is an example of the infamous Butcher Cover, in the "third state" where the replacement trunk slick has been removed to reveal the controversial original artwork beneath. That said... this isn't a finished job. There's still a lot of the paper from the trunk slick left obscuring the original artwork. Thankfully, there's not all that much tearing present here, so somebody that knows what they're doing could probably make this look quite decent (but I strongly advise against tackling this if you aren't an expert). The original slick looks like it may have been carefully glued back on at some point, and I should point out that there is splitting to the sides. The original record is included, but it's got several scuffs and scratches. Good luck!
