THIS ACTUALLY A PRETTY SCARCE PRESSING- A TRANSITIONAL PRESSING BETWEEN THE ORIGINAL 66 ISSUES, AND THE 68` SUBSIDIARY LABELS.. FIRST TO SHOW THE RIAA GOLD AWARD ON COVER, BUT PRESSED AT THE SCRANTON PLANT. THIS WOULD BE THE LAST LP TO BE PRESSED THERE. IN 1967, CAPITOL DELETED THE STEREO NEEDLE DAMAGE STATEMENT FROM THE BACKSIDE OF THE COVERS. IN 68` CAPITOL LABELS HAD SUBSIDIARY PRINT, SO THE TIME FRAME WINDOW THAT THIS SOMEWHAT PECULIAR ISSUE WAS SMALL. LESS THAN 6 OR 7 MONTHS. THIS PROBABLY IS THE LAST BEATLE VARIATION TITLE ISSUED WITH THE NUMBER 3 ON THE REAR COVER.

Yesterday and Today is the ninth Capitol Records album release by the Beatles and the eleventh overall American release. It was issued only in the United States, Canada and, in the 1970s, Japan. The album is remembered primarily for the controversy surrounding its original cover image, the "butcher cover" featuring the band dressed in white smocks and covered with decapitated baby dolls and pieces of meat. The album's title is based on the song "Yesterday". Early album cover proofs show the word "Yesterday" in quotes
