Very rare US Beatles Mono Cover Yesterday and Today The "Butcher" Cover
3rd state (Peeled)
Release date: June 1966
A good example of a 3rd state. Cover in one piece
The front cover has had a good peel, some residue still showing and where base has lifted, see scans.
Two types of adhesive were used to adhere the Trunk slick to the Butcher cover, until you start the peel you only discover if it was non-synthetic and then you can usually recover the peel in one piece. This was obviously a synthetic adhesive.
Including the recall letter from Capitol
Rear of cover has stains as a result of age, use, handling, storage and over last 50+ years, please see scans.
This cover was manufactured in the Scranton pressing plant as indicated by the small 3 next to the logo on the back bottom right hand of the cover.
