Item Description
This auction is for a very rare 2nd state pasteover Butcher cover from the Beatles Yesterday and Today Album. Underneath this steamer trunk photo is the original controversial butcher cover! It was difficult to show in the photographs but in person you can clearly see the bleed through of Ringo's shirt. The number on the back bottom right hand corner is 3. The back top right corner says T 2553 Capitol Record High Fidelity Recording Also Available in Stereo.
I have provided many close-up pictures to help show the condition of the cover. There is some wear on the edges and some discoloration. The top right corner of the paste over was very slightly peeled (see picture). The sleeve has a fold in the top right corner. I do not have a record player so I was not able to test the record. It looks like there are a few light surface scratches. This record is being sold as-is.
I will be happy to answer any questions.
We are currently selling additional vintage Beatles albums. Please see our other auction; we will be happy to combine shipping charges.
