The Beatles Yesterday and Today BUTCHER COVER (T-2553) LP Album NICE PEEL 3rd

Title: The Beatles Yesterday and Today (Butcher Cover) 3rd State

Relaese Year: 1966

Cover: VG-

Record: VG+

Collectors' Notes: Here we have an original and authentic butcher cover.  Guranteed.  This has some minor defects, but nothing too distracting.  Take a look at the pictures for a better idea of condition (I included many).   With the pictures, try to decide to yourself what this is worth.  This one isn't perfect, but it's still a good copy at a reasonable cost.  I will tell you that there are some tears and touch ups (tears colored in).   It appers like there is some glue residue and a bit of the paper backing still attached in a few spots too so you experts could probably remove that and get this to look really nice.  The seams and spine have been nicely repaired with glue in some places.  Really, the seams are still fairly solid, but it looks like the top seam was about 1/2 split, the bottom seam was about 1/4 split, and the spine was split throughout though it is still intact in spots.  On the top seam, the repair is hardly noticeable.  The spine does have some paper loss.  The front has a small red stain.  The back cover is about as white and clean as you'll get on a butcher cover, but it does have a few flaws.  Check out the pictures to see those.  It doesn't show well in the pictures so I'll tell you folks that are curious, the RIAA number is 6.  Reasonable offers will be considered so feel free to make one.  Shipping is only to the U.S.A.  Thanks for checking out my listing!

Record Grade

Grade Description

SS (Still Sealed)

The cover still has sealed plastic over it.  The record is assumed to be near mint, but actual condition is unknown.

NM (Near Mint)

The record will be shiny with few defects.  The labels may have no writing, stickers, or “spindle marks” on them.

VG+ (Very Good Plus)

The record still retains nearly all factory shine, but has minor scuffs or superficial scratches that do not hurt the playback of the record.   The label can have minor signs or handling and light “spindle marks”.

VG (Very Good)

A very good record is your average record.  These records have lost a good bit of their factory shine.  It might have fairly deep scuffs or scratches that can be felt.  Wear from repeated playing will be evident.   It should play without skipping or loud repeated popping.  The label may have writing, stickers, and/or moderate wear.

G (Good)

This record will show the same conditions of a very good record except they will be more pronounced.  The record should still play through without skipping or sticking, but with strong background noise and popping.

F (Fair)

The record is in terrible shape and probably wouldn’t play without sticking or skipping.

P (Poor)

This record belongs in the trash unless it is an extreme rarity.

Cover Grade

Grade Description

NM (Near Mint)

The cover will have few defects.  The covers cannot have ring wear, creases, cut-out markings or seam splits.

VG+ (Very Good Plus)

This cover will be nice, but with some more defects.  The cover might show a touch of ring wear.  It could also have a seam split less than one inch long.  The corners may be bumped a bit.  The cover might have a price stamped or written on it, but no plain writing.

VG (Very Good)

This is your average cover.  It will have a moderate amount of defects, but shouldn’t be very overwhelming.  Writing is allowed.  Also, this cover may have seam splits.

G (Good)

The cover is in similar condition to very good, but the defects are greater.

F (Fair)

The cover is in terrible shape and may be split into two pieces.

P (Poor)
