3rd state butcher cover. This has a really solid peal; there's only one small tear near ringos arm and then an even smaller one near Paul's elbow (but someone managed to tape the piece back on and it's almost unnoticeable). Both of these spots are pictured up close. Please check them out and let me know if you have any questions.
The cover is in decent shape depending on who you're talking to I suppose. At some point someone repaired this because all three edges were completely ripped. They repaired it with three seameazy strips which from afar look almost unnoticeable. I tried to take some close up shots of the seameazy strips. They also had all three seams taped up but by the time I bought it the tape looked discolored and terrible so I went ahead and removed it. I personally think it looks much better without the tape. The only downside is that the tape left behind sticky residue and it can be felt on all three of the edges. Although this is not ideal I find that always keeping it in a 3 mil sleeve makes me forget that it's even there. Anyway for this rare of a record I wouldn't even want to be removing it from the outer sleeve at all. The back of the cover has a name written on pen and a lot of discoloring and staining going on. It also comes with the original insert. I would rate the cover as G since it now remains fully intact from
the seameazy repair.
The disc has a lot of surface marks and two small scratches that cause some popping for a few seconds. Besides that there are not skips throughout the entire record. There is a piece of tape on side A with a name written on it. Overall I would rate it a VG- because it still plays really well. I just recently play-tested it.
