*If you do decide to contact me for any reasons or concerns, please keep your comments or questions respectful. Disrespectful messages sent from anyone, will get you banned from contact and bidding on any of my items. I will not tolerate disrespectful comments or insults in messages. Concerns are understandable, but accusations and insults are not.

First, thank you for your interest and apologies for the large amount of text, but details on this particular item matter greatly.
Due to the high volume of private messages and the highly controversial nature of this certain item as well as the understandably unique, challenging nature of being able to confirm it, along with the fact that there are examples of unpeeled Butcher albums thet have thicker pastes and don’t have the infamous triangle mark of trust so apparent, BE AWARE THE SELLER IS NOT 100% percent certain it IS a butcher copy! No one is! Yet it has been appraised as BOTH over the years. This is why the seller is making this full disclosure and 30 day offer of refund guarantee if you document evidence and professionally peel and we all are disappointed. You will get your money back if you go through the refund policies!
*Resources and references as well as evidence to why this is believed to be one will be provided upon request.
*I could rip off the paste, as some here have encouraged me to do, but that obviously would diminish the value IF the years of research is correct. Given there ARE examples of Butchers WITHOUT the triangle that have been verified later with a peel, there is almost no sure fire certainty it is or isn’t. Let us be clear, if you have ANY HESITATIONS, DO NOT BID please. But thank you kindly for your interest!
This vinyl is a potentially highly rare, UNPEELED “Butch” or “Butcher” copy of The Beatles' "Yesterday and Today" LP, made with a black unknown vinyl material and a cardboard sleeve case type. Manufacturing mark #3 which is surmised Scranton, PA location. The record label is Capitol Records and it was released in 1966. The album is in 33 RPM speed and has a record size of 12”
The sleeve grading is surmised Very Good (VG) and the inlay condition is also surmised Very Good (VG). The album is a rock 'n' roll genre and has both mono and stereo audio channels. This LP is a super rare addition to any music or vinyl enthusiast record collection. This particular piece was part of a private collection.
*PLEASE READ THESE DETAILS CAREFULLY!*
*Vinyl manufacturing number is #3, assumed to be the Scranton, PA location. While #4 is Jacksonville, #5 - #6 were Los Angeles as sourced in research by seller.
*Edges and parts of sleeve are worn and almost disintegrated over the years & contact with moisture. The cardboard is beginning to separate in areas. Not advisable for constant usage or handling if aiming to preserve.
*The vinyl record itself is in worn condition. There are light to occasional moderate scratches, light fingerprint smudges etc present.
*Seller cannot see the infamous Ringo V neck triangle themselves (until a friend scanned and zoomed the shadow for me during this listing…), but others that have inspected it say they can make it out vaguely. Contrary to popular belief, the visual of Ringos V neck is not a 100% guaranteed to be accurate in determining if this is a Butcher. There are other examples of Butchers that clearly do not show Ringos V neck due to the amount of glue used etc. Pictures of these other examples will be provided via PM upon request.
*It is possible that some pastes were thick enough to cover the slight discoloration present in others. So please be advised it is extremely hard to see if present.
*Trim measurements etc can be a great determination as to if it is one, but unfortunately still arenot completely clear given the inconsistency with pastes and production processes in that era. This sleeve is 12 1/2” width x height 12 1/2”. The paste over cover is roughly 11” inches give or take on top of front.
*The last time this was played, there was a light scratching sound common in used vinyls of the era. No skipping was detected using a vinyl riser but is NOT guaranteed to never happen if you choose to use.
*This vinyl and sleeve pictured, has not been 100% graded by a professional consensus and verified, so please study the pictures and numerical evidence closely as presented to make your own conclusion. All grading, conditions & validity are only surmised by seller through educated research and analysis of the album sleeve and stamps, previous professional opinions and manufacturing dates, numbers etc.
**Sources of this research will be provided upon request via pm mail to the seller.** Please don’t hesitate to ask for anything further to confirm!
*This LP was purchased in 2012 from a vinyl bargain bin at a flea market in Ohio for a private collection and is now available for auction.
*Due to the highly controversial and hard to verify nature of the album, if in the unlikely event this item is found to be not a butcher by the winning bidder, in a documented, professional peel and successful return of the identical item, there is a 30 day return offered by the seller & eBay money back guarantee.
*Another manufacture numbered copy of the unpeeled butcher, nearly identical to this one, sold just recently on Ebay.
Shipping:
USPS Ground Advantage domestically with tracking & insurance provided. Please keep in mind winning bidder may need to be present for a signature confirmation via delivery provider to receive the delivery package!
Return:
Only a documented un-packing, with a professional grade vinyl appraiser present during the professional peeling of the exact item and prompt return in the same shipping conditions as received, is considered an acceptable return by the seller. You will not be refunded in any other return condition. Please be advised. You do have eBay money back guarantee too. Please make yourself well versed in their policies on returns and descriptions before bidding!
*BIDDERS BID WITH THEIR OWN JUDGMENT & RISK! SELLER IS CLEAR THIS ITEM COULD POSSIBLY -NOT- BE A BUTCHER ALBUM! THIS IS THE NATURE OF THE POTENTIALLY UNPEELED BUTCHER & YESTERDAY & TODAY ALBUMS!*
Thanks for your interest and happy bidding!!
