Very rare US Beatles Cover Yesterday and Today The "Butcher" Cover
3rd state (Peeled)
Release date: June 1966
Cover in one piece
Some residue and top left corner lift , see scans.
Including the recall letter from Capitol.
Rear of cover shows handling and storage over last 50+ years, see scan.
Two types of adhesive were used to adhere the Trunk slick to the Butcher cover, until you start the peel you only discover if it was non-synthetic and then you can usually recover the peel in one piece. This was obviously a synthetic adhesive.
This cover was manufactured in the LA pressing plant as indicated by the small 6 next to the logo on the back bottom right hand of the cover.
Vinyl is flat and has a few surface marks.
