The Beatles in Italy. Rare vinyl album. VG condition. Different mixes..
The cover and the title makes you think it's a live album recorded in Rome. WRONG. But in many ways, this is a much better album. It was produced for the Italian market. There are EMI and Parlaphone logos and you'll see in a photo that says the album was produced in Italy. It's a fun mix of Lennon/McCartney originals with a few standard covers thrown in.
But there is at least one track that has a different mix from the Capitol American releases. The song "Thank You Girl" contains the harmonica riffs that you're used to hearing. But the harmonica disappears durring the final two measures of the song, allowing the listener to hear Ringo's drumming much clearer.
There may be other differences, but I don't remember. Unless this album sells right away, I will listen to it closely one more time this weekend.
This is a gatefold album and the spine is in very good condition. I've included a closeup on the inner side 1 lable that has some kind of purple stamp. Otherwise, the album jacket, sleeve and vinyl itself are all in very good condition.
