This record is part of my fathers collection and is the rare version with " a day in the life " omitted

As you can see by the pictures he had 2 x albums and I suspect given the absolute mint condition of the record and the brightness of the cardboard insert that it may have never been played hence why he bought two.

I have researched the web and found the following description which matches the album I have :-

Some original mono pressings omit any reference to "A Day In the Life" on the side 2 record label, although the track does play on the album !
This version is therefore the rarest of all The Beatles "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" UK Pressings.
Note that so far this rare variant has only been discovered in MONO format (PMC 7027), it has never been found on a stereo version.
(The inner sleeve is plain white.)

This is a genuine item and I have started the pricing to reflect the rarity of this album.

The thick spine cover is printed by Garrod and lofthouse which again is rare as the patients were still pending.

As we own two I have decided to see what this will fetch, comes from a smoke free and no pet home
