The Beatles "The Beatles", PCS 7068/9, Apple Records. 8th UK pressing, 1988. Final UK vinyl!
DMM pressing! Unlaminated white gatefold cover with openings at the sides and with embossed
title on front. Album contained four color portraits of the band and collage poster. The records were
housed in standard white paper inner sleeves. Green-yellow label with “An E.M.I. Recording” text
on two lines. The rimtext reached all the way around the labels. Importantly, around the 5 ‘o’ clock
position in the rimtext the wording is: “UNAUTHORISED COPYING, HIRING, RENTING,
PUBLIC PERFORMANCE AND BROADCASTING…”. "This album has been direct metal mastered
from a digitally re-mastered original tape to give the best possible sound quality" printed on gatefold.
Rare! This publication is much less common than the previous ones, due to the small print runs.
In the early 90s, CDs completely replaced vinyl from the market. Vinyl production in England
was closed on the long time. This edition for real collectors of The Beatles vinyl.
