With the Beatles is the second studio album by the English rock group The Beatles. It was released on 22 November 1963, on Parlophone, and was recorded four months after the band's debut Please Please Me. The album features eight original compositions (seven by Lennon–McCartney and "Don't Bother Me", George Harrison's first recorded solo composition and his first released on a Beatles album) and six covers (mostly of Motown, rock and roll, and R&B hits). The cover photograph was taken by the fashion photographer Robert Freeman, and it has been mimicked by several music groups over the years.

This is the 1st mono pressing with the misspelling of 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' on both sleeve and label instead of the correct 'Got A'. It also has the incorrect Jobete publishing credit for Money on the label on Side 2. These errors were soon noticed and corrected for subsequent pressings.

With The Beatles vinyl lp. Vinyl is Side 1 Very Good+ / Side 2 Excellent-. The vinyl is quite glossy with a number of noticeable surface marks on both sides. The previous owner has written his initials in pen on the label. There are a few very short rhythmic pops or scratches on Side 1 for three to four revolutions. On Side 2 there are occasional adhoc light pops. 

Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd flipback. Sleeve is Very Good. There is creasing and a few scuffs around the edges. There is name written in blue pen on the rear. Some wear on the flipbacks. The spine is almost fully legible. The front photo appears to me to be dark and grainy but I am not sure if it the sought after version. The inner is a white polylined 'Important..' paper inner sleeve with a large spine split at the bottom.

Summary:- Reasonably rare 1st mono with decent but not perfect audio.

This has been cleaned on a Okki Nokki RCM FREE for the buyer.

Grading system used:-


Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.


Near Mint (NM) The record looks brand new with no scuffing or any deterioration in sound quality and only the smallest hint that its ever been played. The cover and any additional extras are clean, crisp and with no wear whatsoever.


Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.


Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.


Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.


Fair (F) The record is still just about playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or
defaced.


Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
